Club Policies and Etiquette

Many members have worked hard to create a dojo that is beyond simple SPAC organization requirements. In an attempt to maintain Japanese tradition and the spirit of respect in the dojo, please read the following guidelines:

  1. Treat the dojo with respect. All members of Bakuhatsu should bow when entering and exiting the dojo.
  2. All members should leave their belongings in a neat and orderly fashion on the benches to the side of the dojo.
  3. Members should refrain from using cellular phones before, during, or after class.
  4. Treat Drums with respect. Drums should not be leaned upon, sat upon, or used as tables. Bachi should not to be left on top of the drum heads.
  5. While instruction is given, members should remain quiet to absorb and learn.
  6. Members should pay $40 club dues promptly at the beginning of each quarter.
